In order to kick off the activities towards commemoration of the V centenary anniversary of Juan Ponce de Leon’s arrival to Florida’s shores, the Spain-Florida Foundation will host a private reception at the Coral Gables Museum, where the attendees will have the opportunity to visit a Colonial Florida map exhibit, inaugurated for the first time in the United States.
The Foundation will have the honor to present the Florida Humanities Council’s Board of Directors that will make their presence as special guests, in order to recognize their hardship in preserving the cultural legacy of Florida.
This event has been made possible thanks to the mutual labor of the Foundation, alongside Ms. Arva Moore Parks, the Acting Director of the Coral Gables Museum, as well as Mr. Bernardo Marquez, the United States General Manager of Viajes, El Corte Ingles and Mr. Javier Schoendorff, General Manager of Zamora’s Winery.
The Spain-Florida Foundation 500 Years would like to recognize and extend our warm gratitude towards the Coral Gables Museum, Viajes, El Corte Ingles and Winery Ramon Bilbao for their cooperation in the preservation of the Hispanic Legacy and a very special night.
